* THIRD ANNUAL ADOPT-A-FAMILY CAMPAIGN* *2008 *

Once again this holiday the Stratford Business & Civic Association collected donations from our business community to brighten the lives of three deserving families in Stratford. While we realize these are difficult times for everyone, we felt these particular families who have recently lost a parent could especially use our help during this holiday season. We wish to thank those who supported us in this charitable endeavor. Typical gifts we received included gift cards, gift certificates, cash, and checks. This year thanks to all the businesses that donated we raised $1741.00 in donations and surpassed what was collected last year. We want to thank Kim Lotierzo of SJ Performing Arts who coordinated and distributed the donations according to the needs of each family. Kim delivered them on behalf of the SBCA and witnessed the tears of joy and appreciation. We truly came together as a business community for our families in need. On behalf of the SBCA we wish to thank all of Santa's helpers for keeping the spirit of Christmas alive. Whether or not you were able to make a donation to this charitable endeavor please say a prayer for these families as they cope with the loss of a loved parent.
